We study the basic bacterial cell biology processes:

• chromosome replication and the regulation of this process,

• the influence of chromosome topology on replication,

• regulation of genes expression, including those involved in secondary metabolites (antibiotics) production,

• chromosome segregation and its coordination with cell division and other cell cycle processes,

• chromosome organisation during bacterial cell cycle

• bacterial cell morphogenisis

• antibiotic discovery
